此時，丁俊暉打進紅球后，母球困在紅球堆。丁俊暉思考一會后，選擇擊打綠球。三次解球失敗，裁判也連報三次foul and a miss（空桿犯規）。此時，袁思俊起身跟裁判爭議，袁思俊指出丁俊暉此時能直接打到黑球，但當丁俊暉說我報的是綠球，沒報黑球，袁思俊嗷嗷了兩聲，就回到了座位。裁判也沒有什麼反應，繼續讓丁俊暉解球，而沒有提出警告。丁俊暉解到第5桿，才解到綠球。
可以看到，袁思俊感覺到裁判的判罰似乎有問題，但沒有明確指出。那麼這里裁判的判罰是否正確呢？我們來看一看規則怎麼說。
14. Foul and a Miss
（d） After a FOUL AND A MISS has been called under paragraph （c） above when there was a clear path in a straight line from the cue-ball to a ball that was on or could have been on， such that central， full ball， contact was available （in the case of Reds， this to be taken as a full diameter of any Red that is not obstructed by a colour）， or when the cue-ball is touching a ball that could be on， then：
（（d）當有清晰的直線路徑，母球能夠打到活球的整顆，或本可以是活球的整顆（如果是紅球堆，紅球堆中只要有一顆紅球的整球沒有被彩球阻擋到），而裁判已經依據（c）段作出了Foul and a Miss的判罰，那麼：）
（i） a second failure to first hit a ball on in making a stroke from the original position shall be called as a FOUL AND A MISS regardless of the difference in scores；
（（i）如果球員第二次沒有打到目標球，此時無論分差是多少，裁判也應該判Foul and a Miss；）
